Restructuring society is an idea that for social and infrastructural change to work, it has to be done in a modular fashion. Human society cannot be wiped clean to start over. Neither can the current way of things be reformed to something better.
Civilization collapse has generally resulted either in more oppressive regimes, largely based on the previous ones, or a return to small bands and villages with the abandonment of population centers. Society can be restructured in a way to survive the collapse of capitalist society. In this process, society can be structured in a way that promote adaptive radiation of cultures, long term sustainability, and resiliency.
Change is happening all around us at an increasing pace. Survival for the human species requires creating a social organizational pattern that can adapt to changes, are sustainable, and which include all cultures.
